I purchased a Vortech V2 supercharger for my 98 Mustang GT. What can I do to install it on a budget? Thanks!?
I purchased it second hand and like so many other people I am on a budget. I was told to invest in a inter cooler, msd ignition, headers, and to remap my computer. It is a weekend driver so it won't see no track time only the road. The engine is a 4.6L V8 mostly stock, just a chip and Borla exhaust. Any other info or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again!

Doing this on a budget can be risky - you really need to have the supercharger professionally installed and the car dyno-tuned. You are correct about the inter-cooler, ignition, and headers. As for the exhaust - Borla is one of the more expensive brands - check out this system from Pypes, it's much less expensive but will still give great results: http://www.americanmuscle.com/pypes-9904-gt-violator.html As I said before - you will need to get your car tuned (or "remapped"). Chips are a great tool but I usually only recommend them on pre-OBDII cars (96 and older). For your car I would recommend something like this SCT tuner: http://www.americanmuscle.com/sct-sf3-tuner.html Make sure you check with the shop that's going to be doing the dyno-tune to see what software they prefer to use. It is possible to do this "on a budget" but it's better to spend a little more money and make sure it's done right.

What's included in vortech supercharger kit?
I found a vortech v2 supercharger used for sale for my 95 mustang 5.0. I never installed a supercharger and I don't know if he has everything I need, and neither does he. Can someone list everything that should be included in the kit so I can make sure it's everything before I buy it? Please be specific. Thanks

I would say every problem you don't want or need in one of those.I never had the use for one due to the high cost of push water you put into your tank they have more problems than what they are worth. The super charger goes bad and the cost of those is almost the cost of the whole car.I would say to stay away from them but that is up to you unless you have alot of money for when the charger goes bad.But fi your into getting one check out a high performance super shop they would have the run down on them for what is needed and for what ever other parts you may need for the one you want to buy.To me they are not worth the money and problems.Hope this helps you out.

V2 Vortech Supercharger?
It is used and has about 30,000 miles on it. I would like to sell it but not quite sure what a reasonable price to start out would be. Any input would be helpful. It's just the Supercharger and bracket for 98 Mustang GT.

Piping ?intercooler? pulleys? belts ? Just the S/C and the mount will likely be $500/$600 All the piping bolt ons and ready to go I see for $1000/$1200

How do you inspect a used supercharged car ?
im looking to buy a new car. and there's a 2001 mustang GT with a vortech V2 S-trim supercharger. it has 62,000 miles. I will be getting a used vehicle inspection done on it , but i don't think that that will cover the supercharger. Is there any way i can inspect it to see that it is in good condition ? or will the used vehicle inspection cover the supercharger?

You will need to know how to peel the blower open and inspect the oil and the gears inside...you can probably hit up any Mustang forum and get specifics there.
